Phone Number Transfer and Porting Steps
Once you have request a phone number transfer, paid your fee and upload the requir documents, the status of your transfer request will change to ‘awaiting verification’.

All documents are check and verifi manually by a member of our dicat Number Transfer team to make the process as secure as possible. We’ll contact you if we have any questions or neanything else before we proce. If any documents have been reject, these are mark in the dashboard.
Awaiting Verification
Once your documents have been accept we will submit the request to your current provider and the status of your transfer request now changes to ‘request submitt. From the time the request is submitt it will take 2-3 weeks for the number to be port.

The provider comes back and accepts or rejects the request. Once the request is acceptyour porting date will be confirm. At this stage, the status changes to ‘date set’.

On the day prior to the porting, you will be sent an email informing you that your number is now configurable and the dashboard status will change to reflect this.
Configurable
At this point, you can set up your number for inbound calls, making sure it rings in the right places. Setting up your new number(s) within the Yay.com dashboard can be done in 5mins over the phone with a member of the support team by ringing 0330 122 6000, or you can dive in and set it up yourself!
On the day of the port, the porting process itself will always complete by 5PM UTC. Calls are re-rout one at a time by each network operator, so you may experience some calls ringing on one phone with others ringing on your new Yay.com setup. Either way, you’ll never miss one as it all happens!
