Summary after 20 weeks working with SCRUM in our projects

I’ve been wanting to implement Jira and Confluence in our projects for a while now. We’ve finally done it and things are going just as I expected. Even better, I’d say.

What has gone well

It boils down to the fact that we are mexico whatsapp number data capable of getting work done. In detail I would say the following:

  • Be more aware that we can only perform a limited number of tasks, so I am learning to focus better on what is essential.
  • Task tracking because everything is documented.
  • Communication between team members. We talk more without having to talk more.
  • Documentation in both Confluence and Jira tasks. Everyone’s work is more transparent to everyone.
  • Analysis of the focus we have as a team to label tasks and know what we are mostly working on as a team.

What we still need to improve

There are few things that require major improvement but there are nuances:

  • Fill out all fields in Jira overview of search results display tasks correctly to improve the level of analysis.
  • Ability to better estimate and plan what we will be able to achieve in two weeks (there is still a large number that we carry over from one sprint to the next).
  • Related to the previous point is also the organization alb directory of tasks and instead of working day by day, planning weeks, sprints and months with greater anticipation.
  • Task description to understand what they are about two weeks after creating them.

Backlog cleaning (although all SCRUM teams suffer from this, I’m afraid)

I gave him my WhatsApp. He forwarded me several messages from the other person saying that what I was proposing was not possible. I had already suspected this before but I finally had it clear.

This potential client isn’t going anywhere. All he wants from me is to challenge the freelancer he has right now. He won’t make any changes.

In the end I told him that if he needed any recommendations I would have to do an audit for him. I didn’t say it as such but I made him understand that I couldn’t continue coaching him for free. Enough of this motivated fooling around..

As always, we are doing well, but we could be doing better. We are working on it.
