A married couple from Moscow for their on Ozon — it is a manufacturer of raw-pressed vegetable oils, nut pastes and urbech (a thick, viscous, oily mass made from seeds). Natalya Gordeeva told Texterra how she entered the platform and why she refused to sell on Wildberries or Sber Megamarket.
We do it ourselves, on our own equipmen
In total, we produce more than 20 types of premium quality oils using an old technology. This is a gentle pressing of environmentally friendly seeds with a press in a barrel – without heating, without contact with metal, without chemicals. In fact, this is freshly squeezed juice of seeds or nuts. We make nut pastes and urbech using a mill with stone millstones. Our main difference is that we do everything individually, only after ordering, and do not store the products for a long time. If desired, you can come to our workshop in Moscow – we will make oil in the presence of the customer.

Three awards for three oils
In early May, we sent our products to a very prestigious competition in Paris – “Oils of the World – 2022”, which has been held for 20 years by AVPA (French Agency for Agricultural Product Quality Assessment). The competition is famous for its strict selection, blind samples and is held in three stages. More than 600 producers of raw-pressed vegetable oils from five continents participate in it. All three of our oils submitted to the competition received awards.

But making a product is only half the job. You have to be able to sell it. I learned to work with the marketplace on my own, by trial and error, then I learned from fellow butter makers with whom we communicate closely that Ozon provides assistance in this for six months – you can get free, and this really helped me in promotion.
I have a manager assigned to me. She analyzes product cards – photos, texts, suggests adjusting something and, if necessary, shifting the email marketing automation: boost your campaigns emphasis. For example, she reported that the card lacked information on the product – we added it. The manager also advised combining product cards by some features (volume, taste, etc.). The advice turned out to be very useful.
Selecting a work scheme

Our oils and urbechi are made after the order, which guarantees maximum freshness of the products, and this is our USP. This makes work on Ozon more convenient and allows you to adjust it to the specifics of your business.
SEO promotion is affected by the rating of your product, which is determined by how often it ends up in the shopping cart. The rating is also affected by the quality of the product and the average price on the market.
Ban on hemp oil
Each marketplace has its own peculiarities aol email list and “pitfalls” in its work. For example, Ozon prohibits selling hemp edible oil and other hemp food products – this is their policy, I did not know this. I found out about this only after my personal account was blocked, which was a surprise for me. After receiving an explanation and deleting the product, my personal account started working again. It would seem that hemp oil is an ordinary product, with certificates of conformity, with all the accompanying documents and is sold in all supermarkets. But it is not allowed. Such things are unpleasant to learn from personal experience.
Promotion methods
I mainly use , as well as promotions, a bonus program for buyers for reviews. There are promotion methods that I have not yet used – SEO. I will gradually master them. Ozon offers several tools for promoting products: media advertising (placing banners, branded shelves. Why Ozon
I started going to marketplaces in mid-January, and, as it turned out, very timely. Trust is growing.For me, Ozon is in first place. I chose it for its ease of use for sellers. By the way, indexing of goods on Ozon in Yandex search occurred on the fourth day! In second place for me is Yandex.Market. Sales are much lower, and I pay for promotion. I don’t like the technical support, they respond slowly and not always adequately.
